Traverse Attorney Referral Service

If you need an attorney, but don't know who to call, the Traverse Attorney Referral Service (TARS) can assist you. 

To receive a referral, please call TARS at 231-922-4715.  You will be asked to briefly explain the nature of your problem and provide contact information.  Referrals can be made to local attorneys practicing in most areas of the law including: Civil, Criminal, Elder, Employment, Divorce and Custody, Estate Planning, Personal Injury and Real Estate.

You will be referred to an attorney who practices in the field of law related to your problem.  It will be up to you to schedule a consultation with the lawyer to whom you are referred.  This consultation will be scheduled for 30 minutes and costs $50.00  You and the attorney then make all arrangements for any further consultations, services and additional legal fees.

All participating attorneys are members of the State Bar of Michigan and are required to carry professional liability insurance. TARS makes no other representations.
