The Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association hosting an estate planning forum which will cover basic terms, concepts, and forms involved in estate planning, including but not limited to: general durable financial powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney AKA designation of patient advocate or living will, revocable and irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, last will and testament, alternative forms of estate planning such as joint bank accounts, payable on death bank accounts, Lady Bird Deeds, etc.

Lawrence R LaSusa, Mr. LaSusa is an attorney licensed in Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin with 39 years’ experience in bank and trust regulation, estate planning, business succession planning, preparing wills, trusts, special needs trusts, durable financial powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, living wills and designations of patient advocate. He has achieved certification from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Probate and Estate Planning
Nicole Westfall, Ms. Westfall is a graduate of University of Michigan-Flint and WMU Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She has been practicing law in Northern Michigan for 3 years. Nicole specializes in deceased estates, estate planning, and guardianships/conservatorships.
